New Walks Leaflet showing 8 Local Walks

By // June 21st, 2023

Coity Higher Community Council has been working in partnership with Ramblers Cymru on a Paths to Wellbeing Project for almost two years and during that time along with local volunteers and children we’ve planted 420 native tree species to create a border hedge around the community playing field in Coity, sewn 2kg of wildflower seeds, built a bug hotel, put up bat and bird boxes in various areas of the wards and planted a community orchard in Pendre .

We’ve also worked in partnership with BCBC to install several new gates whilst removing stiles to increase and improve access, along with some footpath clearance work and our own waymark has been designed.

In addition, we’ve worked in partnership to design a new local walks leaflets, giving a map and details for 8  walks and shortly will install an information board on Heol West Plas, Coity showing the walks.   A copy of the leaflet is attached here

We do have some hard copies of the leaflet and will be approaching local venues to see if they will hold a small stock for us.   As soon as this is arranged the information on where you can pick one up will be updated here.
